Depressive Realism, Maybe the Glass Really is Half Empty

Suicide Prevention Speaker and Trainer

Frank King shares

'A re-framing of depression as a capability

rather than a disability'.

Frank has thought about killing himself more times than he can count. Depression and suicide run in the family. He’s turned a lifelong battle with depression into a powerful message to spread amongst a variety of audiences.

After 20+ years as a corporate comedian, Frank’s attention turned to helping others address mental and emotional problems. His mission as a Suicide Prevention and Postvention Public Speaker and Trainer is to share his insights on mental and emotional health with anyone that needs to hear it.

He was featured on a TED Talk, “A Matter of Life or Death,” where he has been able to address topics that are often taboo in today’s society.

As a Motivational Public Speaker who travels the world, he uses comedy and personal life lessons to help break the ice and start an engaging conversation amongst others struggling with mental and emotional stability. This act of faith helps those struggling find a voice to express themselves and help create a pool of common knowledge where those who suffer and those who care about them can swim.

He believes that where there is humor there is hope. Where there is laughter there is life. Nobody dies laughing.
